<p>so my parents really want me to tryout for my shcools jazz 1 class. i was wondering if this would make colleges really want to take me more than if i hadnt done this. il be a sophmore if i get accepted into it so it would be 3 years of are upper jazz band.</p>
<p>Jazz band is something you do for fun. I did it all four years in high school not because of colleges, but because jazz was something I felt like I needed in my life. If it’s not your thing and it conflicts with other classes, then drop it. Otherwise, it’s something you’ll remember for the rest of your life - high school is one of those rare times where things like band are actually a big part of school.</p>
