Should I take Math II in June or study over summer?

The registration deadline for the June 6 exam is May 4, so I need to know soon. I took the Sparknotes Math II practice test today but didn't really try: i only answered up to around question 30, at which point in time I had to leave for dinner. I went straight through the first 30 and answered only questions that I knew, skipping the ones I didn't know. Ended up getting a 530 :o. Obviously I could do a lot better if I actually finished the test and blah blah blah, but I want an 800.

If I register for the June exam, I'd have approximately three weeks to study (b/c I have AP exams until the 15th). I've already got the Barron's Math II book. I should also mention that I'm in PreCal right now, but our teacher is complete garbage.

So do you think I should take the Math II exam in June, or study over the summer and take it in November (taking SAT I in Oct)?

Take another practice test when you have plenty of time to do it “for real.” Then and only then can you evaluate whether you’re ready now or want the summer to study.

Are you a rising senior? You’ll be cutting it really close if you wait till Oct.

Yea I’m a rising senior so I’ll be cutting it very close. I’ll probably take another practice test this weekend and see how I do.

October is fine. You want to feel ready for it. But really, don’t waste time if you don’t have to. Like HighlandMom said, seriously write a practice.

do it in june, when all the precalc is still fresh.
you only need about 4 wks studying anyway
so just study 4/3 as hard as you would have
