I have taken algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2 and I'm debating whether or not I should take math senior year. I've pretty much maintained a C average in math, but I've done much better in my other classes. I honestly don't think that it will benefit GPA wise, it actually might hurt me, more than help me. However, I know that most colleges look for 4 years of math and a decent course load senior year. If I am taking 2 AP's (English & Psychology), physics or anatomy, journalism 3, and civics/econ and have an overall GPA of about 3.8 would it benefit me if I took statistics or another math class, as well?

If I were in your position, I would take the fourth year of math. I would work my butt off to get an A in the math class and if that wasn’t possible, settle for a B. I think colleges will see that you tried and if you do improve your grade in math during your senior year from your average math grades in the past, I feel like colleges would notice that and appreciate your motivation.
