Hi, i am currently a sophmore in High School and want to major in Biology/Chemistry for cancer research.

In freshman year, i took honors bio, and honors Geometry
This year, i am taking honors Chem and honors Algebra II

The trouble i am having is in junior year. Because i am interested in Biology, i want to take AP biology. Then, in senior year, i would like to take AP chemistry.

The problem is, there is no room for physics in this schedule. I cant double up sciences because it will not fit in either years. On CTY, i found an honors physics online course which i might do to obtain the credits for honors physics, because my school does accept them. I am wondering whether it is OK to do that, or just Do physics Junior Year self study AP bio, and do AP chem senior year.

Should i take the Honors physics online to make room for AP biology, or should i do it in school, (which would not allow me to take the AP bio course)?

What do you mean by “won’t fit in either years”?

You said yourself that you are interested in Biology, so take AP Biology (never self-study) and take Physics online. You don’t have to take physics, but it’s good exposure to Physics in college which is WAY more difficult. Going off track here, but I did AB Physics freshman year, and it was the hardest class I had in my life lol. Now I’m trying to take AP Physics C next year (senior year). Physics is a tough subject and there’s no overlap with biology so you’re fine.

Niquii77: I mean that the schedule wouldnt fit 2 sciences together.

Thank you Fantasy, the only reason i didnt know what to do was because i read somewhere earlier that colleges like you to have three different sciences…

Check with your colleges. Many colleges require Physics or a Physical Science. If the colleges you want to attend dont require something other than Bio and Chem then go ahead with you plan of AP Bio-AP Chem
