Should I Take Pre-Med?

I’m currently a junior in high school. I am taking AP Biology right now, and it’s challenging, but i really enjoy it. I love bio, but I hate chemistry. I don’t get it at all. It might be because I’ve moved around a lot ( between states and countries) and the changes in the syllabi made it hard for me to understand it. My question is, how do I know if I can handle pre-med? I’m having trouble trying to decide which career to pursue. I am really interested in medicine, but im afraid that I won’t be able to handle it. I’m a hard worker and I’m used to studying 8-9 hours straight ( I dont do it every day, but i have no problem with studying for long periods of time). I maintain straight As, and I currently have a 4.7 GPA (it’s not very high, but I moved from another country, and the classes are very different). Also, I know that about 50% of applicants get into medical school. I don’t want to waste four years of my life in pre-med and not get into medical school. If I went for it, could I major in finance (as a back up in case I don’t get into med school), or is that a bad idea?

Thank you for you’re help.
