Should I take SAT again??

Hi, I'm a junior in a pretty good private high school in the States.

I'm an Asian, Korean, and have neighter a citizenship nor a green card.

I just got my SAT score back today, and I've taken it twice.

First one: Reading: 670, Math: 760, Writing: 760
Second one: Reading: 670, Math: 790, Writing: 670
So combined is 2220.

My TOEFL: 290, 667 in PBT
GPA: around 3.9 UW(9th: 3.67, 10th: 3.97, 11th: either 3.88 or 4.0)
SAT2: Math 800, Physics 780, Chem 700(I'll take it again soon), USH(to be taken)
AP: CalcBC 5, PhysicsCMechanics 5, and I'm taking 6 APs this year(Eng&Lang, Stat, USH, Chem, MicroEcon, ComSciA), next year I'll be taking AP Japanese and AP ComSciAB Classes.

Among these, I studied five out of these ten independently, since there are not many APs at my school.

I took CalcBC class in my 10th grade.

Extracurriculars are not too bad.
Varsity soccer from 10th (State Champions)
Lacrosse JV from 9th, V-expected in 12th
Jazz Choir from 9th
Du-wap singing group from 9th
Dorm prefect(11th, 12th prob)
Dorm DC Rep(10th, 11th)
AASK (Voluntary work from School) from 10th

In terms of Awards, I got some awards such as those for an essay, science research, computer science competition, and math competion; however, not very big ones.

I got some more, but these are pretty much that will be written down on the app.

I want ED in Princeton really bad, and I'm wondering if I should study more for the SAT and get my reading score higher during summer or rather work on the common app.

Do I have some chances??? TT I feel desperate,,,

I'd appreciate serious advices,,,

Bump because Princetonians don't leave anyone out in the cold right guys???;)

Although 2220 is definitely a respectable score, nobody's quite sure how the new Writing section is weighted; that is, whether it's considered equally with Math and Critical Reading, or if it's considered less seriously. Either way, you definitely have room to improve with your CR score, so it couldn't hurt to re-take the test in October (or whenever it's being offered around then).

You don't need to overdo it in terms of studying, though -- 670 is a good score, especially if English isn't your first language. You should have plenty of time to work on your common app essays and study a little bit for the CR section of the SAT this summer.

I dont think you can get in at all, legaly that is. If you dont have a grren card, or citizenship, then you are an illegal alien, and cannot/should not attend an American Institution of higher learning...

That's inappropiate. She never stated she was an illegal alien. There are schools that allow foreign students to study in the U.S. Also there are such things as Visas. Please do not make inappropiate comments without any proof.

evan93023,,, I have student Visa, and have you ever not seen international students without either citizenship or green card???

common sense dude,,, by the way I'm a guy.

why is your id babygirl?....

are you gay? lol

Could you give me some advices instead of calling me a gay,,,?? haha

I'm not,,,

haha, maybe he is just really happy, not gay, babygirl?

I recommend this time studying for cr only since this will be your third time. I believe that if you take the sats 2-3times the colleges wont mind. Good luck, and I am sure you will do well. You should also work on your essay. You can hone 2 drafts in 2 months. Make sure you get feedback from your teachers. Just set aside 30 minutes each day for the cr section, and 30 minutes for the essays. In at least a months time, you should have the essays done.

hey i wanna solve the mystery of your id babygirl.
you gotta be at least bi

hahahahaha

I had a 2330 the spring of my junior year and vehemently opposed my parents' plans for me to take it again my senior year, but finally gave in. Turned out that without studying at all in between my score jumped up to 2380 - that's 50 points in Critical Reading, and I think it's just because I had been reading a lot over the summer. So I would reccommend you take it just for your own sake - then if your score doesn't go up much or you don't get in, you'll at least be able to tell yourself you did everything you could to try to get in.
