Should I take SAT Chinese

Hey everyone:)

I'm a student from Southeast Asia hoping to study in the US in the future.
I got 2310 on my SAT 1 (750 for reading, 770 for writing and 790 for math), and am now thinking of doing the SAT subject tests.
My first language is English, second language is Malay and third language is Chinese.
So I was just wondering if taking the SAT Chinese paper would be a good idea (my Chinese standard is quite alright I guess), considering that a lot of people who take the paper are native speakers of Chinese and I'm not.

I don’t think It will help a lot for college admission. Statistics shown more than 50% get 800. It is not difficult at all for a student with Chinese (Mandarin) background.

If it is clear from your school records that this is not your first language, the results will be evaluated differently than they would be if it were clear that you are a native speaker.

similar situation

Take as many SAT subject tests you think you’d do well on. It doesn’t hurt to show off.

Students taking a subject test in a heritage language may want to take it as an additional test beyond however many are normally required or recommended by the colleges that they are applying to.
