I think I can potentially score in the 1450-1500 range on the SAT, and if I take SAT IIs, I think I would take (and score in the indicated range):

US History: 750+
Math IIC: 720+
Writing: 700+

Since this is basicially my last chance to take standardized tests, which improvement would be more beneficial?

As of right now, I am leaning towards SAT II, because I can study for it during Christmas break (I know you can study for the SAT I, but for me, its a matter of hit or miss, depending on how I feel, if I am tired, hungry, etc; on practice tests I scored between 1300 and 1590). Both improvements would help my AI the same (at SAT I =1450), but since the SAT IIs for me are more stable, perhaps it would be better to take them. Anyways, I am interested in hearing the thoughts of others.

I believe that your SAT score now is enough, and I wouldn't even bother redoing it. But for the SAT II, it give a better "overall" impression, and thus your chances increases.

That's how I view it anyway, and Good Luck!

subject tests...if u can boost them up to where u say u can...then ull make a good impression than with ur actual sat2's and a 1450 (if u manage 2 get it)

yeah, I am facing the same dillemia. I have a 1320 SAT score and a 720Writing, a 610MathIC score and a really bad US history score. I can't decide whether or not to take the SATI or SATIIs considering that only one of my schools requires subject tests.

considering that only one of your school requires the sat 2's...im assuming they are not ivies so a 1320 is a decent score...i would meditate how important that one school is for you and if it is high in your list, i would go for the sat 2's, but if its not, then i would not bother and i would study during the break to raise that sat I score

Do you think that if i do significantly better in january and i call the schools that only accept december scores and tell them, they'll consider the jan. scores?
