I’m currently taking AP Language and Composition this year, and I’m wondering if this course is sufficient enough to do well on the SAT Literature test? (My school offers AP Literature senior year only) Has anyone taken SAT Literature without taking AP Lit.? Thank you.
I took SAT lit without AP Lit and got a 750 first time. But I also had a 34 ACT reading score but only a 650 SAT CR score. To me it was pretty easy but it’s considered one of the hardest tests so if you believe you’re a great reader go for it. If not go with another test.
Hey I’m a non-native speaker and I plan to take SAT Lit. The curve seems pretty tough and for any non-native speaker the time limit should be a big barrier. Are there any tips for it?
And I’m pretty curious about how the SAT CR and Lit passages appear to native-speakers… For me the CR is really a hard nut. I got a 750 on CR but that was due to months of studying and practicing and memorizing the SAT vocab list. Also once I tried Lit practice questions, and for a poem I hardly got any question right. I thought my 750 CR suggests a solid reading ability but why there’s such a huge discrepancy between my CR and Lit performances?
