Should I take SAT Subject Tests?

I have a pretty solid 4.3 GPA with tough AP classes, as well as a ton of extracurriculars, and my main college UC Davis does not require SAT Subject test taking. Should I do it? Is it worth stressing over? Will it edge me out of other competitors looking into getting into a UC? What happens if I do badly, will they even consider it?

I'm planning to take Literature, Math II, and Bio if that helps at all with your advice giving. Thanks!! :)

If you can do well on your AP tests, I suggest that you should. Even though the college you want to go to doesn’t require it, it will still look better than if you had not taken it.

Many top colleges require subject tests, so taking subject tests can only increase the number of colleges available to you. If you don’t take them, however, and change your mind about UC Davis, you may find yourself very limited in your search of top tier schools. If you think you can do well on them (AP classes will prepare you well), then definitely take them. They can only strength your application.
