I am currently a freshmen second semester student at a community college. My current GPA is a 3.2. I was wondering if by taking 2 summer courses would it be worth my chances of increasing my transfer rates for when I transfer Junior year.

I interned last summer at a fortune 30 company and will again this year. I worked 38.5 hours a week monday-friday. I was planning on taking 2 online courses. If I can manage would this be more 'appealing' to admissions offices when I transfer?

Thanks!

I don’t think they will really care. Most likely the the two courses will just be seen in the context of all the courses you’ve taken. I don’t think the admissions people are going to look at in which semester each course was taken and then match that up to your EC’s to see that you worked 38.5 hrs a week and took 2 online courses at the same time.

If you do take courses over the summer it should be just to get more done in the overall scheme of things not to overwhelm yourself in the hopes that admissions will think it’s admirable.

I don’t know where you are planning to apply but your GPA could be higher. Instead of trying to overload yourself for the summer I would focus on improving your grades. Work the internship if you want but if you can’t get A’s in those two summer classes, wait until Fall to take them.

you should take them even though toy may not beed them you will learn more for the future
