Should I take the ACT after the SAT?

I am almost at the 2000 mark for the SAT, took it 2 times already.
I am pretty confident I can get a 2100 on the October test after studying for it during the summer.
But should I try a practice test for the ACT? I am too lazy for that and even if I do better (which I don't think I will) than the SAT, I don't have time to study both since I already have set materials for the SAT.

For me, the ACT was much easier. But if you are lazy…
Just take an ACT practice test. It won’t kill you.

Right lol.

I didn’t study for either ever.
I got a 2020 on the January SAT.
I got a 35 on the June ACT (which I was going to cancel because I went to a concert the night before and got 3 hours of sleep - thank god I forgot to :p)

I say the ACT is definitely worth a shot. I never have to take the ACT/SAT ever again.

Oooooo.
Do I take the practice test with writing or not?

Guys I have taken the SAT twice. Highest Score was a 1930. I feel as though i can definitely get 2100 if i study the rest of the summer for it. But, I don’t know whether or not to study for the ACT this summer and try that. My friends said that i am more oriented for the ACT. To add to my question, I have a 4.41 Cumulative GPA and some of my other friends i don’t need to take any. I am really confused. Any Suggestions?

I would highly recommend you take both, you never know. I got a 2270 on the SAT on my second try and, despite the fact that I am supposedly also an ACT-oriented person, I did much worse on the ACT (31, which equates to an SAT score of 2040, which I got my first time). A lot of people think the ACT is easier, but I’m with the minority who thinks the SAT is infinitely easier. It’s so much of a “personal” thing that I highly suggest taking both, haha.

I got a 29 on the diagnostic ACT test. should i pursue the ACT instead of the SAT this summer? Will colleges take your highest score between the two or do they favor one test over the other?

I think most colleges pick the higher one.
Pick the one you think will improve faster in time.
Should I take an ACT practice test with writing too?
And should I study an hour for it or go in cold?

No, it’s not necessary to do the essay on a practice test, since it doesn’t directly affect your composite score.
If you’re willing to study for it first, go for it, can’t hurt!

Well I am DEFINITELY not studying for it if I score under 25 I think, because I already have the materials for SATs…but I don’t know.

Give a practice test a try and see what happens.

Okay. My goal for the SAT is 2200 at least, from a 1940 (superscore 1990).

Btw do I just print the whole test out and do it?

Sure, that would probably be your best option. Again, you don’t need to do the essay part if you’re just trying to see where you’re at, so don’t bother printing that out and the essay paper.
I would suggest timing yourself on every section too, and going through it in one sitting.

Yeah
I can’t staple it LOL

Weird question, so I am going to take a practice test for ACT and future SAT practice tests as well, do I just print them out and not staple them and take the test? It’s a bit weird since the pages are separated.

You don’t have to staple them-- I actually prefer printed tests to be unstapled, it makes it much easier for the reading sections.

Ok thank you.

I have a private question that I would like to ask about practice tests especially if you took a lot of them, can anyone help me with it? It’s really simple.
