I have already taken the ACT three times.
The first time, my composite score was a 28. The second and third time, it was a 29. The last time that I took it was in September. I studied a lot for that one and consequently, all of my individual scores went up with the exception of my science score (i guess i didn't study for the science as much as i should have)- which dropped my composite to a 29. I really want to get a 30 (my super-score is a 30) and I think that I can but I don't know if it's worth having to take it a fourth time. I have a feeling that I might get a 30, but obviously, I don't know for sure.

I’m in pretty much the exact same situation as you, so I would like to know as well.

If you’ve studied as much as I have, I take it you know that feeling of disappointment when your most recent score is the same as the one before it.

Well…? Is it a bad idea to take the ACT a fourth time?

I would say go for it, there’s not much to lose.

Where are you applying? It might not be worth it if your score is already above the school’s average.
