The first time I took the ACT I got a 27, I took it a second time and unfortunately my score was lower. The school I really want to get into is UT but I'm not sure where my position stands with what I have. All I know is that the range that UT accepts is 25-31 according to college board. My mom is extremely iffy when it comes to me taking these tests since it costs a lot of money for us, so I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to take it again.

Besides my scores, I'm involved in many extra curricular activities (some with officer positions), I have a job, and I did volunteer work over the Summer. My gpa out of a 5 scale is a 4.35. I'm just afraid that I don't have what it takes to get into UT :(

Oh and sending/taking the SAT again is completely out of mind. I do very very bad on the SAT and I already took it twice with not much improvement. My 27 from the ACT still stands higher than my SAT score.

117/652
That is my current rank given to me after the first semester of my Junior Year? I think. If not it was from after my Sophomore year.

But we are getting our new ones, (that we will be sending to the colleges we apply to) in September. I’m in the top quarter but not the top 15%, I’m praying my new rank will get there but only time will tell for that…

Also, I’m not saying you won’t get into the school, but if you don’t … Don’t be too bummed out over it. When I would tell my math teacher who attended Dartmouth, she informed me my life won’t be over if I don’t get into a school that’s a reach for anyone. Life will go on and you can still be successful doing what you love! :)
