Should I take the ACT in April or June?

I'm a junior and I know i should take the ACT before the school year ends ( so that if I dont do well I can take it again in september)

I've been doing some practice questions but have never taken a practice test, I feel like I need to practice a lot of math.

I need to get a good score to be able to apply the schools I'm interested in. I dont know whether I should take it in april or June...

what should I do?

Both? Many times the score increases.

You should take it both times. That’s my intent as well.

You might need SAT II’s which you should take in June of your junior year.
If you don’t, then take both months.

And what if I dont get the score I want and I take it a third time (september)? will colleges only look at my highest score?

I think that the majority of schools will do that. Hopefully you won’t feel compelled to take it a third time though.

SAT II are not on the same day… It wouldnt conflict

^
True, but I’m saying he might need to study for both around the same time in June. In which case studying would get stressful.
ACT - June 12
SAT II - June 5
1 week might not give you enough time to do many practice tests for the ACT.
