Basically, I took the ACT just to practice at the end of my sophomore year of HS (I'm now a junior), and I got a 28 (forget my individual breakdown). I thought that that was pretty bad and not worth pursuing, so I decided to ignore the ACT and just focus on the SAT, which my parents have agreed with/supported, etc.

Now, I just got a 2290 on the March SAT and plan on retaking it in June. However, I've been hearing from a LOT of friends who have been taking both the SAT and ACT and plan on sending them both to colleges, including SAT2 subject tests, which I will be taking three of.

I'm starting to get a bit anxious about the ACT, wondering if I should take it or not.. if I did, it would be the June one, so obviously I'd be an "ACT late bloomer" I guess. Or would this just be way too over-zealous, and an SAT + 3 subject tests will be perfectly acceptable to send to any college, including quite competitive ones?

Also, if I were to take the ACT, would the prepping be entirely different from SAT prepping, somewhat the same, or do they almost entirely overlap? (minus the science section, which is basically just reading graphs anyway?)

Any help from both SAT/ACT takers would be appreciated.
