should i take the ACT?

I just finished a Princeton Review course and took 3 SAT practice tests. I did horrible on all three of them. First one was 1500, second one was 1530,third one was 1570. I have also been doing some practice tests in Princeton Review 11 Test book, but I dont seem to be improving. Should I try taking the ACT? I heard its all straightfoward, so i might do better. However, I live in New Jersey and no one even seems to be taking the ACT or knows what the ACT is. Also, if I took the ACT and i got a great score, should I just send in the ACT score or send in the SAT score also even if its bad?

First of all, you should try taking college board practice SAT tests- those are the real thing. Princeton's tests are much harder than the actual SAT test. There is a huge blue book from college board with 8 practice tests. And if you could get a great score on ACT, then definitely send that in to schools. It IS straightforward- writing, math, reading, and science.

oh really? i didn't know princeton review's tests were harder.

thats what my tutor said... and you really notice a difference if you take a princeton test, and then take one from college board.

Hey what about the kaplan books? Are they harder than college board's?

i have no clue. sorry
