Should I take the ACTs again?

I took the ACTs in June 2014, got a score of 27. Essay - 8I went in without even studying.

2nd time I took the ACTs in September, i got a score of 31. Essay- 10 I studied over the summer but I feel like I was distracted a lot.

My mom made me sign up for the October ACT in case I didn't get a good score in september. I'm kind of not satisfied with the score and want to try to get a 32+. I also feel like I might've gotten lucky in the September test, i'm not sure...

I used 2 books. The Real ACT and the Princeton Review. I finished both of them.

So, should i take it again? (Also I'm not doing early decision so I'm not worried about when the scores are coming out, in addition, i don't have to take the writing portion again, correct? because i already took it and got a 10.

No, you need the writing portion. Unless you want to send in two tests. I’d recommend not taking it, since you are only a point away from your target. Focus on different part of you application like GPA and essays.
