Should I take the AP Euro test in the spring?

I am currently taking Euro this year and from what I hear it is a rather hard test. A lot of people that I have talked haven’t performed well on the test. I was wondering if colleges would rather have someone get an A in the class and not take the AP test or take the test even if it means that person could perform poorly.

AP scores carry little to no weight in the admissions process. However, where they are used is to validate the rigor of the course. Getting an “A” in the course but a 1 or 2 on the exam would hint at grade inflation at your school. All told, colleges would prefer you to take the exam.

Thanks! That helps a ton!
