Should I take the AP exam for Physics?

Junior here, on the verge of paying for my AP tests in May. Right now I have four AP classes, and I feel pretty confident in taking 3 of them. AP Calc AB, AP US History, and AP Language and Comp. The only class I’m a bit iffy on is AP Physics.
I generally understand the concepts, and have a B+ in the class, but my teacher showed us a practice version of what the AP test looked like and my heart sunk. I honestly felt dumbfounded at it.
Should I even bother with the AP test then? Is it worth paying the money even if I fail it?

It’s only worth the money if you’re potentially going to score high enough that it gets you credit once you get to college. If you don’t feel confident (and you have 3 other APs to study for), personally I’d skip it.

Do you feel as though the class itself is too easy? My AP Bio class is ridiculously easy so when we took a practice test it was extremely hard. I would buy a prep book, use outside materials, and then take the practice tests and see. Also remember that AP Tests have a curve to them. My econ teacher says that for AP classes, A C= 3, B=4, and A=5. I’m not sure how accurate that is, but it applies to my classes well.

You don’t have to reveal scores to a college, so if it isn’t a financial burden I would recommend taking it.

My daughter just decided not to take the Physics AP tests. She’s going into engineering and didn’t feel comfortable skipping the classes for which she’d get credit.
