Although I haven’t received the decisions yet, I’m hoping to attend either Trinity college ct or Clark University. I’m taking psychology as a major, and I looked at the AP credit policy of both of these schools, and Trinity says “One course credit for the AP Psychology Exam. This course credit may not be counted toward the Psychology major, nor does it exempt students from any of the courses required for the major.” Does that mean there’s no use to take the AP exam?
Also, I am totally confused about Clark’s policy. Who should I email with my questions?
Trinity: https://www.trincoll.edu/Academics/TransferCredit/Prospective/Pages/ExamCredits.aspx
Clark: http://catalog.clarku.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=22&poid=4279
So you get (generic) elective credit with Trinity and the Psychology 101 credit for Clark. Definitely take the exam.
Definitely take the exam. All colleges will have credits for “open electives”…AP scores will count for credit for those as a minimum.
