Should I Take the AP Test for AP Physics?

hello,
I am a junior at an impoverished high school. I am taking AP Physics this year with three other APs. Sadly, my teacher for AP physics has not been here and has been on a long leave so my class has learned nothing. Should I still take the test for AP Physics or not? Because If i don’t take it and I have an A in the class then the college admissions officers will know that the class is not AP level bc they usually expect people with As to take the AP test. Also, if I don’t take the test will it affect my admission heavily. I plan on declaring undeclared and going to USC.

NAYONE PLSSSSSS

No they won’t. If it says AP on your transcript, they will assume it’s AP-level.

It won’t affect your admissions at all.
You can always take it, and if you do not do well. simply not report the score. But unless money is an issue, I see no valid reason for a junior not taking an AP test.

@skieurope i mean didn’t you read what I just said lol. My AP Physics was on long-term leaving which is why I essentially learned nothing LOL. so there’s no way i can even take the test

Why, yes I did. I read that you are taking an AP class. Everything else you said is irrelevant to colleges. Your teacher is on leave; so what? I assume there is a substitute. Whether s/he is effective or not is not the point. People will have bad teachers, bad college professors, and, potentially, a bad spouse. Life goes on. At the end of the day, you are responsible for your own learning.

So, as I said, take the test or don’t take the test; it won’t matter for college admissions. But I stand by my earlier statement; you can do nothing and assume that you would have failed the test, or you can take it and potentially pass it.
