This will be the only SAT II i take. However, I have both AP bio and AP Chem to study for. Would preparing extensively for the SAT II chem test adversely affect my AP Chem score (that is, if the two are different)? How much in advance should I start preparing for it if I'm looking for an 800? I would take the June test, but I have ARML that same day and my dad doesnt want me to go through the trouble of rescheduling. Does taking it in June give me mor time to prepare, or would it make me forget stuff? Thanks!

And on a slightly subjective note, how difficult is the SAT 2 Chem test?

I barely studied for the SAT II Chem and had only taken about 1/5 of an AP Chem class when I took it, and I didn’t do too badly so I would say it is generally not that awful.

Preparing for the SAT II Chem will probably help your AP Chem score. The things they cover have a pretty large overlap if I remember correctly, and I feel like it is generally acknowledged that the AP is much easier.

I also have the same problem . My college counselor advice me to take SAT II - Chemistry on May 5 before AP Chemistry test on May 7 . I am not sure that preparation for AP & SAT II is the same . Currently all chapters ( need to know for AP test ) are finished & we are doing review for AP exam . I haven’t check for SAT II yet .
I also wants to know that taking it in June give me more time to prepare, or would it make me forget ?
