Should I take the math 1 sat 2

I got a 600 on the math section on the sat and math definitely is not my strong point. But there aren't any other sat 2's i can take besides spanish maybe but i'm not a native speaker so that might be hard. i might take the spanish one in june bc the ap test is at the end of may. is the math 1 sat 2 easier than regular sat 1 math?

Yes, it is definitely more difficult. Since the purpose of subject tests are to really show off your skills in the subject, the math subject tests are harder than the math on the actual test. Also, if math isn’t your strong point, I don’t think you should be taking the subject test.

You should try some free practice questions on College Board and try to judge for yourself if the test is easy or not. Also what math course are you currently taking (CB recommends “at least three years of college-preparatory mathematics, including two years of algebra and one year of geometry”)?

The Math2 has some Pre-cal. (The SAT does not.) You shouldn’t take it unless you are good in Math and have spent some time with the Math2 practice tests.

I don’t think that he is referring to Math Subject Test Level 2. I’m pretty sure he is referring to Math Subject Test Level 1. The Math Subject Test Level 1 does not require knowledge of precalculus.
