I took the SAT 3 times in high school and my best combined score was a 1350 (old version). Does anyone have any advice on whether I should take the new version once before I try to transfer as a junior after next year? I feel like the added writing section would benefit me since my writing skills are better than my math skills. However, I have heard that after you take the SAT more than 3 times, schools average your score. This might just be for the UCs but that is what I have heard. Does anyone know anything about this topic? Any help would be appreciated

if your applying for the UC's, it doesn't matter. your score is alright, 1350 isn't horrible and unless ur applying for the top schools i don't think u should retake it.

There's a couple of top schools that dont ask for SAT scores from junior transfers. Dont remember any of them though...

i know that USC and Stanford require SAT 1 and 2 for transfer. Don't worry about it if you are applying to a UC

You don't need SAT for USC.

are you sure? i was looking at the Admission Form 1, but that one might be for freshmen...
