Should I take the SAT a third time?

I'm applying to a bunch of selective schools (Ivy League and similar) this year. I first took the SAT in 10th grade and scored 2090. In my second attempt, I scored 2320 (800 CR, 720 M, 800 W). I have no clue how I managed to mess up the math section like that— I'm normally really good at math (got 780+ on all of my practice tests).

Thing is, I'm hoping to major in computer science, which relies very very heavily on math. If I take the test again (December), I have a good chance at a 2400 superscore (though my CR/Writing scores will likely drop a little).

I've also heard that many colleges frown upon taking the SAT too many times, especially after getting good scores.

I'm really conflicted. Should I take the test again in a week?

I think 3 times is the “limit” for top schools. Taking it a third time really won’t matter at all. i took it 3 times

But what if you use Score Choice?

3 times is pretty common. I wouldn’t worry about setting off a flag and if you want to go CS I think it’s worth it.

how did u do so well i CR? grrrrr u shuld be fine, but the math is kinda an outlier…
