I took the SAT for the first time on May 2nd. I haven’t received my scores yet, but I was wondering should I sign up for the June SAT. I fear of not having enough opportunities to raise my SAT score before college apps are due. If I choose not to take it in June, I will have to definitely take it in October… Are there any SAT test dates before October? Also, will I even have a chance to raise my score if I take it in June? Thank you!
What’s wrong with taking it in October?
If I take it the second time in October, I might not be satisfied with my score… But by then I don’t think I’ll have any more chances to take it because college apps will be due… Unless I can send test scores in late???
Check each college’s website regarding the last date you can test (it could be November, December, January, for example). You should also take into account SAT Subject tests, if you want or have to take them.
An advantage of spacing your tests apart is so that you’ll have more time to work on any weaker areas.
