I took the SAT in March and I got a 2190 (710 CR, 730 M, 750 W) and I'm wondering if I should take it again in June. I am applying to uber-competitive schools and Penn is my first choice. Is it worth it for me to take it again and try to break into the high 700's, or are my scores all right as they stand?

I don't know what the smart thing to do is, but I have a 2200 and am retaking. I'm kind of obsessive over test scores though =x. If I don't improve I'll be fine, but I'd like to get it at a little higher.

So I am retaking. That does not mean that it is good or bad to retake though. I just thought you might be curious.

I'm retaking a 2160 next year. Why not forget about them for a few months and see if some time away from the stress (stressful for me at least), some more school, and maybe some summer prep don't help some? I think you can take them during the first 3 testings next year, so no rush as far as I'm concerned. Plus, your scores are awesome as they are, so if for some reason you don't do as well, no worries, colleges will look at your current scores anyway.

2070 here, I'm retaking when I can. But then again, I'm not planning to get into an uber competitive school.

The basic rule is that if you know that you can do better, retake it.
