Should I take the SAT again?

I'm applying to top schools (like HYPSM) and my scores are:

1st Attempt (Sophomore): 2020 (740M, 680CR, 600W)
2nd Attempt (Junior): 2170 (800M, 730CR, 640W)

I'd have to take it in December. What do you guys think? Should I take it again?

Plus, does anyone know how long it'll take to get scores back?

HELLs YEAH.

If you feel that you can improve, I would take it over again. And, you will get to see your scores online 19 days after the test date.

If you're going for HYPS, etc.. YES, take it again!

Oh, I forgot to attach my ACT scores...

First Attempt: 34 (36 English, 34 Math, 34 Reading, 32 Science; 10 on Essay)
Second Attempt: 34 (35 English, 36 Math, 30 Reading, 36 Science; 9 on Essay)

So do I need to take the SAT again, or are my ACT scores good enough?

ouch shay, you were pretty close to the 35 ..
reading score drop brought that baby down TT

I went to a very informative session put on by The Princeton Review and they encourage you to take the test several times because you only submit the top scores. They also said your GPA is the best indicator of college success so...I signed up my son for the SAT 8 week prep course (his scores on the PSAT are not as good as yours)! It is only $42, so why not try again?

wow ur super ACT is a 36
take the ACT again

Being CC, I don't know if daman11 is being serious... -_-'

I was sooo close to that 35/36 on the ACT. I really don't know what happened...

By the way, I took a prep class for the SAT, but it was geared to getting kids over the 2000 mark. Total waste of time.

So one person says take the SAT again. Anyone else?

Your ACT is really good. don't bother with the SAT.
