I've taken both the SAT and ACT twice already.
This past fall I got:
2290-
800 Math
800 Reading
690 Writing
35-
34 Math
34 English
36 Reading
36 Science
8 Essay
I got a 236 PSAT with an 80 writing so I'm concerned that my writing score needs improvement. Also, I'm running an SAT prep class which has helped me keep the material fresh. Stanford is my dream school but I'll be applying to other selective colleges. Is it worth my time to take the SAT or ACT again?

I think your good. The question will be, do you submit ACT or SAT or both.
Although 690 on Write, you got a pair of 800’s which is impressive. I wouldn’t sweat it as many don’t put much emphasis on the Write score. Your essay with application will be very important though.
Getting into the elites will not depend upon your ACT or SAT scores… it will be other factors and a little luck.

I was planning on only submitting my SAT score to colleges which “don’t look at the writing section” such as U Chicago and Georgetown. To other schools, I was planning on submitting both.

Your ACT score is better than your ACT score by like 75 points I think (when you convert it). Leave both of them alone. Your ACT score is great.

Yeah, don’t retake either. If you have the option, just submit the ACT to colleges, as it’s a better score. Some schools though may require you to submit your SAT- however, it’s still a good score.

Guys I have taken the SAT twice. Highest Score was a 1930. I feel as though i can definitely get 2100 if i study the rest of the summer for it. But, I don’t know whether or not to study for the ACT this summer and try that. My friends said that i am more oriented for the ACT. To add to my question, I have a 4.41 Cumulative GPA and some of my other friends i don’t need to take any. I am really confused. Any Suggestions?
