Should I take the SAT IIs?

I live in a midwestern state where most people take the ACT and very few bother with the SAT. I'm planning on applying to several east coast schools where the SAT is the dominant test, so I figured I'd take the SAT once and see how I did. However, I also knew that most of those schools would accept my ACT instead of SAT/SAT Subject scores. Here's what happened:

Took ACT in February: 34, 9 essay.
Took SAT in March: 2200

--Signed up for May SAT before finding out April ACT scores--

Took ACT in April: 35, 10 essay.

Took SAT in May: 2360, 11 essay.

Now I'm in the unexpected situation of having an SAT score that I want to send. Since the policies of almost all of the schools state that they will accept either the SAT with Subject Tests ** or ** the ACT with writing, could I just send in my SAT and ACT without the subject tests?

I would just take the subject tests, but I'm going to be out of town in June, so my earliest opportunity would be in October. I'm afraid I'll forget all my AP Chem and Precalc stuff over the summer. I do have one subject test from way back in sophomore year (US History, 720).

So really, my question is this: Will sending the ACT and SAT (with only one subject test) instead of SAT w/three subject tests hurt me?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You'll have to call the schools to check. Some will probably use the ACT to give you credit for the subject tests but some may be more sticklers for the requirements.

you wont have a problem, just send the remaining scores in by the application due date.

Anyone else have an opinion?

I'd send both since statistically they are the same. But, you could strategize: send the SAT NOW to any college that may be on your list. Take a subject test (or two) in the fall -- no, you won't forget precalc -- and if you score well, you could sent subject tests later.

Collegeboard loves this strategy, btw, since it doubles their $$. :)
