I'm currently a junior and have taken the SAT twice. My highest score was an 1820 (660m,550cr,610w) in December. I'm going to take the SAT one more time. I think April is too close to prep for and I'm away during the June test. Would it be a bad idea to take it in May since that's right around AP exams? Btw, I have 2 APs (US History and Lang & Comp). I'm not sure if I'm going to take the Lang & Comp one since I've been doing pretty badly on the multiple choice.

i think you should quit life

If that was an attempt at humor it was pretty pathetic.

You can retake the SAT if you want, but most of the people I know who have taken the test more than twice have found that their scores were fairly static...including those who studied like crazy. But at the same time, it can't hurt you. I would suggest focusing on the AP exams, and if you think you can take the SAT without encroaching upon studying for them go for it. Otherwise, you can always take the SAT again as a senior.

If you're up for studying over the summer, I say take it in October as a Senior (I did this, and it worked out fine). In May, you will be too preoccupied with your AP tests. I took it three times, each time improving quite a bit. (2180, 2320, 2360). Good luck!

you should take it whenever you feel comfortable, just practice as much has you can and Im sure that you will improve. Good Luck!
