Should I take the SAT Math II?

I'm a sophomore in high school and I took BC Calc last year. Math is my strong suit and I would be mad if I got anything lower than an 800 on the test. Thing is, I'm not really considering any prestigious colleges that require a subject test. Should I do it anyway? I got a 770 in the math section of the SAT I (missed one question! Still mad about that) and I heard the curve was better on the subject test.

I would just do it if I were you. Since you’re only a sophomore, it’s highly likely that you’ll change your mind about what colleges you want and don’t want to apply to 2 years down the road. You never know…

Yes, take it. Since you’ve already gone through BC Calculus, it should be a relatively easy 800 if you review just a tiny bit (or if you just know everything… that’s cool, too). I’d get it out of the way early, too, so if you decide to apply to schools that require subject tests you will have already taken it and don’t have to take the test during 2nd sem. junior or 1st sem. senior year.
