Should I take the SAT Subject Test?

For some reason, I didn’t study for SAT Physics and when I took practice tests today, I was getting 600’s. I cannot get a refund or move my testing date for the test, I can only change the test I take tomorrow. Should I even bother taking the SAT physics tomorrow? I want to take it because I’m an upcoming senior and I’ve only taken one sat subject test before (Math 2- 800), so I feel like if I take the SAT physics in August, I’m cutting it way too close to college applications in case I screw the test up in August. Should I just take the SAT Physics tomorrow- if I do get a 600, will it make any impact on college applications if I retake and get a 750+?

Unless you’re Einstein not studying for the physics subject test is risky. Whatever your strongest subject is take that. You have math already and then sign up for it next go around. You can mention it in your ed applications. A poor subject test won’t be able to be changed for ed ea round.

@privatebanker can’t I just take the test and not send the score in if I do poorly?

Yes unless it’s an all scores school. But subject tests less of an issue and you can choose. Unless they require two.
But of course you can go for it ! get a good night sleep not stress of worrying. Maybe you’ll do fine too

@privatebanker do you know if the UCs are all-scores for subject tests? And my best subject is math unfortunetely, which is already done

If you look on some of the other sites that list many the us schools requirements. it states ucs they are recommended and considered depending on uc and major. None are required. Cal tech requires two.

This info from prep scholar states that is either recommended or considered at ucs depending on major. Not required. But not sure if it knocks you down in a tie. Not sure the link will post but it covers a lot schools here required like cal tech requires two

So I have nothing to lose if I go ahead and take it then?
