As you may already know, I’m in geometry right now and will be taking alg II next year. I will also be taking the SAT on December 1, 2018. So will 5 months of alg II be enough for my first time taking the SAT? Will I need to learn more alg II topics before then? Please help!!!
Get a SAT review book and determine for yourself if you are prepared.
Ok I’ll do that. Thank you
You might need to know some statistics, but in general Alg II should be enough for the test.
Is this just general statistics (e.g. mean, median, mode, range, etc.) or do I need to know more specific stuff. In other words, will I be fine without having taken a statistics course?
I took the SAT with Algebra 2 (no statistics at the time) and I didn’t run into any problems. I think you’ll be fine.
Statistics topics on recent real SAT administrations have included standard deviation and box-and-whisker plots.
Once you try some sample tests, you will have a better idea about whether your background is sufficient.
Thank you, @r2v2018 and @evergreen5 ; I’ll keep that in mind.
