I just got my october scores back and am not too sure whether to take it again
I wanna apply to UC davis and irvine knowing that i barely passed the minimums according to collegeboard.com. But the dilemma is that im out of state and i know my SATs are really low, so i was wondering if any of you would suggest what i should do. Im taking the subject tests Nov. but i know that im going to do bad on the chemistry test (practice tests 490-530s),since i am really unprepared should i take them again or deal with them and take the reasoning test again?

Math 560, CR 540, and WR 500 ( i didnt really know that UCs counted this)

Are you prepared to do better on the SAT I this time?
Are you registered for some other than chemistry Subject Test you'd score better?
If the answer is "no" to both questions, take the December and January (yes!) tests.

i have a similar question. my sat I scores are 640 writing, 600 math, and 680 reading. i go to an elite boarding school that does very well with college placement, i get pretty good grades (my school doesn't rank or calculate gpa so you just have to take my word for it), and i am a lower income urm (african-american). i took the ACT last week but i dont think i did well on the science section so im pretty worried. my question is, if im looking at schools like penn or columbia, do you think i should spend $22 dollars (fee waiver doesn't cover late fee) and take the SAT for the third time in december? I don't think my scores reflect my academic ability and i am worried that I won't get into a school that I like because of them.
