I never took ap world, my school offered ap euro instead. I got a 5 on the euro exam and a 97, without studying, on the NY State Regent for World History. I know a regent is really easy in comparison. If i study often and recall everything from euro do you think it's worth a shot? I was thinking of taking it in dec. or nov. because i don't want to take it in spring along with all my other tests. What books would you recommend?

Go buy, borrow, or otherwise get the Collegeboard official study guide for SAT Subject History tests. There are 2 practice SAT II tests to assess your skills.

The SAT II World History test has a VERY generous curve, you can get at least 20 wrong and still get 800. Also you can only take it in November.

Also, according to Collegeboard 25% of the test covers Europe.

First, I suggest you to take a look at the World History section in this [SAT Subject Test Booklet](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board), there are a rubric and sample questions.

I would recommend against it, having only a Euro background. I took the test coming in with a just Euro class and a few test books, and it was a complete disaster. There’s just not enough on the test pertaining to European history. If you can come up with other subjects that you think that you could do well on, DEFINITELY go with those.

Honestly, world isn’t a popular subject among colleges. Have u already taken math II, a science and another humanities?

If I’m not mistaken, World History is administered in December only, not November.

No, it’s always available. I took it in June 2 years ago, only language with listening is restricted I think. I would take it if I were you, I got a 4 on the exam and a 780 on the sat II.
