Next year I will be a senior and I want to take AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Human Geography, AP Environmental Science, AP Chemistry and AP Music Theory and I have AP Spanish 4 and AP Physics 2 as a back up. What do you think about the classes I want to take, are they to hard, if you have taken any of these classes please comment describing your experience with the class. Please

Difficulty of the class is relative because no teacher teaches the same and no student studies the same. Of the classes you want to take, I currently take Stats and Chem. For me, the classes are easy because the teachers do a really good job at explaining the material.

For content, AP Stats is a fairly easy course. It’s very different from calculus, but still deals heavily with the normal curve, but to a different extent. The math really gets no harder than basic arithmetic because you will learn a lot of the calculator commands for things like probability, descriptive stats, z and t interval, etc.

AP Chemistry on the other hand is generally one of the tougher tests. There is just so much content to master in the course that it seems almost impossible to really understand it all in a school year. If you took honors chem like I did, a lot of the material is familiar and you will have a huge leg up in prepping for the exam and doing well in the class. Content wise, AP Chemistry covers atomic structure, nuclear chemistry, acids-bases, equilibrium, rates, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, etc. These topics are all familiar, but they actually cover more of what you would expect to learn at a college. I would suggest reading the course description for AP Chemistry on the College Board website to understand the topics better.

Hope this helps!
