Should I take this AP Test? Urgent

First, some context:

10th grade (last year):
AP Human Geo (5)
AP Psych (5)
AP World (2)

11th grade (this year):
AP Lang
AP USH
AP Physics 1
AP Chem

My main question is, does admissions like seeing a variation of AP tests taken, along with doing well on a variation of them (different subjects)? I’ve always had trouble with history, I’m definitely more of a math/science kind of guy. If I never do well on a history AP, is to my detriment?

I have a rather poor APUSH teacher (I had a good teacher for AP World, studied, and still got a 2 lol); we haven’t done any free response practice at all, so I’m afraid I’ll have to practice on my own (I’ve done loads of practice free response in my other APs). If I don’t take the APUSH test, I’d also have more time to devote towards the other 3.

So please be brutally honest, should I take the U.S. History AP Test? I have to decide by 2/27.

It’s up to you, especially if your school does not require that you take. AP scores carry little to no weight in the admissions process, so colleges will not care one way or another. On the other hand, you might actually do well

AP test and scores have little impact on admission. If you think you can get a score good enough for credit, then you should take the test. It is going to help your placement in college and you may be able to graduate in shorter time if you get sufficient credits from AP.
