Hey guys, hows everyone ? it's been a while since i've logged on to my account on CC. but The june sat is coming and im VERY VERY not sure about whether i should take it or not. Firstly, let me tell you my scores so far (superscored)

Math:770
CR:670
WR:720

Now, I'm not sure whether this score is sufficient enough for the universities i want to apply for. I wanna try my luck with MIT, maybe Stanford, BU, maybe U of Toronto in Canda.. Please guys give me an advice whether i should try my luck this coming SAT, or just be satisfied with my current grade. The probability of me getting less is much greater than that of me getting more.Thanks :)

your scores are on the low side for MIT/Stanford…they both offer score choice so i see no reason why you wouldnt retake it…as for being tentative about your score dropping my scores went from
2020->2160->2300
(M 660 ->700->760)
(CR 630->660->800)
(W 720->800->740)

I prepped a lot the first 2 times, maybe going through 15 full tests and taking a test…didnt do anything for the last one so, i guess a lot is based on how lucky you are with regards to the test on your test date

I prepped for 2-3 days before my last SAT. Just grab a Barrons book and cram like you couldn’t imagine. The first time I took it seriously, I was at a 2040. I ended up with a 2280 on that last test. The SAT test how clearly you think, so just get prepped, chill out, and think. You’ve been doing it your whole life. Good luck.

On a side note… You should really aim for the upper quartile of the scores at the kind of colleges you’re looking at. Otherwise, you really do only have the advertised sub-15% chance of getting in. Trust me, I tried. lol
