Should I take two econ classes in winter quarter?!

Hey guys, I've pretty much finished all my GEs, except for maybe 3 classes left...

I was planning to take Econ 1, Krn 2, GE
But now I'm thinking of taking the GE later and taking Econ 1, Krn 2, and anoter econ prereq....is this recommended? If so, which econ should I pair up with my Econ1? Is Econ 41, or Econ 11 recommended to be taken with Econ 1 together?

Basically:
Economics 1
Korean 2
Economics ____?

i heard you have to complete Econ 1 before taking Econ 11

ichthuscypher may i ask what year you are and what courses you would recommend to fulfill my GE's....

im a freshman...and i also plan on taking econ and korean in the future so maybe we have the same path lol

^ Are you two minoring in Korean?

hey etti, yup, I'm a freshman too...
What GE categories do you still have to fulfill? Basically, quite alot of my GEs were covered by transferring comm. college credit over...

Nah, I'm probably not minoring in Korean...

You can take Econ 41 whenever. It's not really econ, it's stats. I'm taking it with Econ 11 right now. You can't really take any other econ prerequisites at this point.

So should I take Econ 1 with Econ 41? Will they complement each other well?

No, they wouldn't. Econ 1 is actually Econ. Econ 41 is Statistics.

Go ahead and take them both. As previously mentioned, you can't really take much else anyway.

Is KYRIAZIDOU a good teacher for econ 41? Or should I wait for someone else?

Kyriazidou is an EASY teacher. She's an OK teacher. Some would say horrible. I had her and she was OK. She has slides, shows you slides, lectures about it, etc. If you have taken AP stats before, you pretty much don't need to attend lecture. You just need to do the homework and you will be fine.

First midterm was really easy, but the final was long and when she said everything will be on it, she means it. She said that to our class, and there was one thing she didn't go over, and she put it on the final. Knowing that she said that every chapter would be on the test and to study the slides (she posts them online), I studied the thing she didn't go over and aced the final.

I would take her again. The tests are straight forward and I think they resemble her book problems + her slide examples.

I got an easy A in Kryiazidou as well. I agree with altema.

Wait...so that thing she didn't go over wasn't on the slide right?

The thing she didn't go over was on the final. A lot of people felt it was unfair because she never discussed it, but she did say "Review all the slides and all the chapters are in the test."

So since it wasn't discussed it wasn't on the slides, but it was on the final since it was in the chapters right? Just making sure. =)

I really have to work on my clarity.

It was not discussed anywhere, it was on the slides she posted online, but she didn't show it during class. She merely said "Study all the slides and chapters for the final."

I love the last session of that class. SOOOOOOO many people showed up because they wanted to know what was on the FINAL. At the end the only clue she gave was "All the chapters and slides are on the final." Everyone was ****ed.
