Should I take visual basic or C programming for tech support?

My major is tech support. Visual basic is easier but C programming might be more useful. Which should I take?

I think OCaml would be more useful than either of those for tech support.

Neither of them will help you with tech support.
I would go with C programming though since no one uses visual basic!

(Although C is a dying breed too…)

Definitely learn C. It’s used a lot in scientific computing and although it’s not used much in software engineering anymore (as far as I know), it provides a good foundation for learning the newer languages since they’re all really sort of based off of it (though of course you’d have to include Objective-C as well in that).

Stupid is a good word I’d use to describe Visual Basic.
