Should I talk about Filming or YouTube in my activities-resume part of the application

Hi, so I have already 10 activities in my common application, but definitely I can make space by removing one crummy one thats just in there and replace it w/ filming/youtube if it has enough weight/uniqueness:

Basically, during my early high school years I had a YouTube channel where I would do film-making and do compilations of films not owned by me of different subjects. At one point one of my videos became very popular gaining 500,000 views (Half a million views) and my videos would usually average from 2,000 to 20,000 views. I only made less than 10 videos and had 2,000 subscribers but it was fun and unique and it wasnt stupid videos it was filmography/videography of different places and I loved to edit videos and such.

Are you applying to Wesleyan?

Your app is telling your story - showing who you are by what you choose to include. The way you describe things, the types of things you choose to list and exclude, even the order in which you present them helps tell your story. Decide what you’d like your story to be - it might even help to make a brief list of what you want the AO to see and know about you. Then list your ECs in a way that tells your story. It’s better to have fewer ECs that directly convey what you want them to convey than a full list that’s a mishmash of randomness. Colleges don’t accept based on who has the longest checklist of ECs.

Without seeing the rest of your ECs or knowing what story you want to tell, we can’t know if you should include or exclude this. It is on the face of it fairly neutral - won’t get you admitted or rejected and AOs won’t particularly care about the number of views and other stats you’re listing (the exception being if you’re applying to a program specifically for marketing, movie making or something where the stats might be directly relevant). Decide whether or not to include it based on what it shows about you, your interests and your character.
