<p>If this kid is 90% sure he would get into the school without being recruited, and he IS being recruited, I assure you that the coach is counting on him. You obviously don't know much about DI athletic recruiting.<br>
Anyone stupid enough to post this kind of thing on a public forum and allow themselves to be so easily identified is probably not smart enough to go to Ohio University.<br>
I am not idealistic- I know a lot about the recruiting process and I know it is an imperfect system. Deliberately lying to a coach is a whole other matter. Being on a DI college team is a privilege and coaching one is a difficult job. [Inappropriate comment/language edited out] Will be interesting to see if he actually gets into this school. I hope these same traits come through in his application and interviews.</p>
