I'm really sad about my june score because i study quite a bit for the test the second time, the last chance for me to take the test is October but i want to take sat subject test math level2. I want to get in Georgia tech but I don't think my scores are good enough. >.> I'm too scared to tell my parents because they will just yell at me -.-, they think all Chinese kids should get 800 on math and 2000+ on the SAT...

I guess you should retake the test. An overall score of 1950 is actually good. But since you have the chance to improve your scores, I think you should go for it.

And since you want to give SAT II maths as well, you can do that in November.

Prep more for writing. Seriously, after only a few practice sections for writing you should start seeing a significant difference. Also, read about a bunch of stuff for the essay (there are even some good videos on youtube) and find some good examples to use. You should be getting only a few MC wrong on each section, and if you prepare you should be set for a 10+ essay. A little more prep, and you could get an 800 on writing. That would be an easy way to improve your score 200 points.

Also, read a book. Reading just 1 book during the month or 2 before the test can have a huge impact on CR and writing scores.

hey, I wouldn’t worry about getting accepted into Georgia Tech as much as you are. The average SAT score of an admitted student is between 1900-2130. That means your scores are in the range of admitted students. It’s always good to get low 600s higher, but don’t worry too badly.

I guess I should retake the test, my EC isn’t strong and i still have time to take SAT2 math in November. The thing about cr and writing is , i do pretty decent on them during practice tests and i already finished the Kaplan book and part of the blue book. I also took a prep class. I didn’t focus much on the essay because to be honest my writing skills are average and i expected a 8, i was hoping to do much better on the MC. I have no idea how my reading scores went down, i did really good on the practice reading sections. I missed only about 3 on each.
