Should I transfer... again? Lost.

I was hoping I just might get some input from others. I went to UW-Milwaukee for my freshman year. Then, I had everything set to transfer to Arizona State, except one week before leaving I messed up my foot wakeboarding that required surgery, and couldn't attend for the fall semester. This changed my life in more ways than I anticipated.

The plan was simple, I'd attend school in Arizona, and then come back to Wisconsin for the summer. Now, though I won't FULLY recover on my foot for another year and a half. Therefore, I pretty much will drop wakeboarding, which was really a huge reason to come back home with old friends. Now, simply, there's nothing left in Wisconsin to offer at all. I'm from a smaller town around a lake, it is nice, but friends are going to start living elsewhere over summers, and I don't want to be at home. So I'm looking to live out west all year long to try and establish myself out there. My parents do have a house in Palm Springs, which kind of works as a homebase as well and will probably move out there permanently in the future.

I will be attending ASU in the spring, no problem there and am excited. But I might be attending summer school at UCSB if it all works out to catch up a little. UCSB actually happens to cheaper and not quite as hot as AZ in the summer. I have a feeling that I'm going to fall in love with Cali and want to go to school out there all year around, but that would require me to transfer, again. ASU does have a better business school I believe. I always pretty much dreamed of living there. I would like to try and settle down somewhere though, so I can establish new friends, connections and a home area since I will be a long away from Wisconsin (fortunately though). Of course, all these thoguhts and what-ifs creep up about going to UCSB. I'm thinking I might be able to land some internships in Cali over the summer if I go to school there as well.

Now that you pretty much have my current life story, hah, if you have any input/advice I would love to hear it. Or if anyone has transferred twice before?

OK, do yourself a favor...make sure to apply to UCSB for winter 2006. I think application for transfers for winter 2006 is July 2005. Just so you know, UCSB has a very beautiful campus and literally has it's own beach, bike pathways to go to classes, great academics, fun social scene, and lots of hotties! I doubt you would wanna leave UCSB after the summer program but you're gonna have to enroll somewhere else for Fall since you probably missed the application deadline for Fall 2005.

Gosh, I hope I get accepted to UCSB next fall!!

Do you know anything about their business program? I'm pretty sure I'm going to major in it, not sure what area yet.

They only have business economics with an option of emphasis in accounting. It would be smart to do the emphasis as accounting firms recruit more students at UCSB campus than Berkeley and UCLA combined. They have a great accounting program and most of thestudents are recruited 6 months before they graduate...UCSB rule.

wellendowed,

what are ur stats? gpa and EC, when did u submit ur app, and are u only applying to the UC's?
-best of luck
