Should I Transfer from GW?

I'm currently a sophomore at The George Washington University and I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to transfer. I'm pursuing a double major in Finance and Economics and will be going to law school. Ideally, I would like to transfer to Columbia University or University of Chicago. I'm also considering Boston College and Northwestern University. I'm really struggling with deciding if I want to transfer, so I was hoping to get some advice. I'm also curious about my chances of being admitted to these schools, as there's not a lot of data available on transfer admissions. Here are a couple of the reasons why I'm thinking about transferring/staying:

Transfer:
-I'm not happy with the quality of the education that I'm getting at GW. I feel like it's not as challenging as I thought it would be and that GW has a lot of sub-par professors
-I really don't like the GPAC (general education) program here. I don't think that GPAC is designed very well and I don't think that the courses I'm taking for that are challenging me, or offering me a broad education. One of the big factors in wanting to transfer is to be able to have a strong core curriculum
-I don't really like the atmosphere at GW. It's a lot more of a party school than I thought it would be, I don't like the large presence of greek life, I feel like there are a lot of students who aren't extremely dedicated to their education, etc. I'm looking for a school thats more work, less play.
-I think that GW has a lot of administrative problems and I don't want that affecting my degree in any way. For example, we were unranked last year for falsely reporting admissions data, and this year the business school just fired it's dean and there are rumors that the business school may not get accredited.

Stay:
-I'm heavily involved with the university and student orgs and have a number of leadership positions. I also have a good job and internship
-GW just launched a bachelor of science degree in finance, which I am pursuing. It allows me to get an in depth understanding of finance while pursuing a second major in economics. I haven't found many schools that offer a similar program. None of the schools I want to transfer to offer this, so I would be getting a major in economics there

stay , save urself the hastle ur fine where u are

I disagree with the above post. I think you have solid reasons for wanting to transfer, and if you can make the time to put an application together, I’d start right away.

Since your reasons for transferring are mostly academic, I think you also have a good shot at transferring (your reasons matter to prospective schools).
