Should i transfer from the college of staten island to the grove school of engineering

Im currently enrolled at the college of staten island in the electrical engineering program, i am a junior with only 3 semesters (1 and 1/2 years) left. I recently got accepted into the grove school of engineering at city college, however I am on the fence about committing to transfer to this institution. Apparently from what I hear all of my engineering classes will not transfer over adding anywhere from 1 to 3 additional semesters to my expected graduation date. I asked around my school to see if transferring would make a difference in my eligibility to get a job and got mixed answers. My physics professor told me that since both programs were accredited by ABET that both degrees were equivalent and would bear the same weight to an employer. I also called the Electrical Engineering advisor at the grove school of engineering and he said that since both were accredited by ABET that both degrees were equivalent and if I only had a year and a half left to finish up here and maybe go to grad school there. On the other hand many students have been encouraging me to go saying employers will look at the name and it will give me an edge when applying for jobs. Im in between a rock and a head place on this decision and the deadline for my decision is 12/15/17 next Friday. I would really appreciate any insight or advice on weather I should transfer or not, thank you

@EE1996 Engineering is a tough area to major in, in any school. All employers know that. If you are a good interviewer and know your stuff you’ll be just fine getting a well paid job in the city. GPA also matters. Try to make sure it’s 3.3 or higher. Doesn’t make sense to waste more time getting your degree. Just finish it at your current college and get a job. And maybe get a masters elsewhere along the way if you feel like it will benefit you money wise. Hope this helped!
