Hey I’m a junior at a catholic private prep school. Honestly most of the time I’m miserable here. I don’t like that it’s all guys. I don’t like the academic environment. The worst part for me is the dress code. I have to wear a blazer and tie everyday. Some people call it “classy”. I’m not that big a guy but it always seems to choke around my neck. They’re uncomfortable. I learn better and more effectively when I feel more relaxed. Trust me, i know the difference because we have had days where you can wear whatever you want and I took a summer course where you could wear whatever. I want to transfer after this year to my public school but it seems like a terrible idea going into senior year. Also I’m probably lettering finally in track this season and I woudnt be able to wear the varsity jacket at the new school for obvious reasons. I asked my parents last year if I could transfer but they said “it’s only two years” and other bullshit. I wish I could just go back in time and tell 8th grade me to go to public school.
Also the campus essentially is a compact block of brick. I never get to be outside other than when I’m running track. The public highschool looks so much nicer than my school.
