I am a rising junior at North Carolina State University, which is well respected in the state. I got accepted at UNC Chapel Hill, and was excited and prepared to transfer. In fact, I have already enrolled, set up housing, financial aid, etc. I thought my courses had transferred over correctly. However, I was wrong - in fact, a lot of them are simply electives, which means I have to "re-take" a bunch of general ed. classes I thought I had fulfilled, which I find terribly obnoxious. I am really disappointed because I've been prepared to transfer, got all excited and now the idea of transferring would only put me behind. Now I'm questioning if it is even worth it - especially since UNC would be more academically challenging. I am a Political Science major with plans to attend law school.

mmm, yeah it sounds pretty crappy, sucks when you have all hope in one college and then it screws you over like that, but let’s analyze this…mmm you said you have to re take these classes…would that prevent you from graduating on time? that would be my biggest concern…if yes, then look on the bright side, you know the material and are probably very likely to get good grades, getting a nice GPA which would allow you to get good internships and jobs in the future…if it does put you behind, why don’t you consider taking summer courses at a community college or at UNC? …i think this transferrable credits is a common problem among transfer students. UNC isn’t especially very political - sciency related, but it’s still widely recognized and waaay more than North Carolina State University…

I took a lot of time and effort to reply to your post, would you do the same for me? please? i really need this
